The annual Present hunt: prize pools, Coal exchanges and event quests

How the Christmas event works

Ephinea’s Christmas event usually lasts around four weeks. Defeat enemies for presents, clear densely populated event quests for Coal, then exchange it for more presents at the Christmas Event Shop. Present prize pools change from year to year.

1Defeat enemies and run event questsNormal enemy kills in every episode and difficulty can drop presents. Boxes and fleeing Rappies cannot.
2Collect presents and CoalUse a Present to receive a random item. Event quests such as Christmas Fiasco award Coal on completion.
3Visit the event shopSelect Episode 1 → Shop → Christmas Event Shop. Exchange Coal for more presents with The Hunter near the bank.
4Present types depend on difficultyN / H / VH drop Common Presents; Ultimate drops Ultimate Presents. They look identical but have different prize pools.

During the event

Double weekly boostsEach of the four rotating weekly boosts is doubled during its active week.
Double Present rates on four daysPresent drop rates double on 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January.
St Rappy appearsIn Episode 2’s VR Temple, St Rappy replaces Love Rappy and drops Christmas Presents containing Mag Cells or Mag Kits.
Christmas decorationsThe Visual Lobby and Principal’s Office receive Christmas decorations and festive music.

Christmas Event Shop

The Hunter (the RAcast near the bank)

A Common Present costs 8 Coal; an Ultimate Present costs 40 Coal.

The official website calls him The Hunter; in the local quest script he calls himself RAdolph.
Scavenger (historical / script reference)

In earlier events, 1 Coal bought a colour-tiered common weapon with a random special attack.

The current official shop lists only The Hunter; this character is not part of the current main exchanges.
